Appointment Booking for Submission of Applications for Long-Term Visas or Long-Term Residence Permits for the Purposes of an EU Blue Card, Intra-Company Transfer Card, Sports, Culture, Medical Treatment, Internship, Business

The information below is intended for applicants from countries within the jurisdiction of the Embassy applying for a long-term visa or residence permit for the above-mentioned purposes, or for residents legally residing in countries within the jurisdiction of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi on the basis of a long-term / permanent residence permit continuously for at least two years, as well as for citizens of states not subject to local consular jurisdiction.

 

1. Send a request for an appointment to submit a visa/residence application to:
newdelhi.longterm@mzv.gov.cz

2. In the subject line of the email, state: full name (as shown in the passport), type of visa, purpose of stay (EU Blue Card, Intra-Company Transfer Card, sports, culture, medical treatment, internship, business, and participation in a legal entity), and passport number.

3. Attach the following documents to the email (in .pdf format): a scan of the passport data page, a scan of the document proving the purpose of stay (for an EU Blue Card, include the vacancy number from the database of vacancies for EU Blue Cards).

4. Applicants who are not citizens of countries under the jurisdiction of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi must also attach proof that they have been legally residing in a country within the embassy’s jurisdiction for at least the previous two years. If residence cannot be proven, the applicant must apply in their home country. 

5. 1 applicant = 1 email. Send only one email. Only one applicant may be booked in each email. Exceptions are situations where minor children apply together with their parents (→ the parent includes their minor children in the appointment request and also attaches their documents according to point 3), or where a family applies together (→ one family member includes their minor children and spouse in the request and also attaches their documents according to point 3).

6. Your email will be placed in the queue according to the order in which it was received.

7. The following emails will be disqualified from the registration process:

(i) emails that are not sent in the format specified in point 2,
(ii) emails that do not include the attachments referred to in point 3,
iii) emails in which the applicant attempts to register multiple applicants at once, except for emails from parents simultaneously registering their minor children, or a family member simultaneously registering their minor children and spouse,
iv) emails sent multiple times by the same applicant,

(iv) emails that are sent multiple times by one applicant, 
v) emails sent to a different email address,
vi) emails with attachments larger than 10 MB.

8. Wait for the confirmation. The Embassy will inform you within 7 days whether or not a submission date has been assigned.

9. The assigned date cannot be changed. If you fail to show up for your appointment, the assigned date becomes invalid. If you arrive late without prior apology, your appointment will also be cancelled - in such a case, the Embassy will proceed with other applicants who arrived on time. 

Number of applications accepted for the above purpose in 2026:

Long-term residence permit – EU Blue Card: 250–300
Long-term residence permit – Intra-CompanyTransfer Card: 200–250
Long-term visa – sports, culture, medical treatment: 60
Long-term visa – business and participation in a legal entity: 12

* The email address newdelhi.longterm@mzv.gov.cz is intended exclusively for booking visa/residence application appointments and is not used for general communication or answering inquiries.

** The Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi does not change the order of applicants. Applicants are registered strictly in the order in which emails are received, according to transparency and embassy capacity. If you do not use your appointment, arrange a new one according to the procedure above.

*** Applicants acknowledge that the mzv.gov.cz email domain is protected by advanced cybersecurity systems. Therefore, emails identified as spam or potentially harmful, those exhibiting signs of automated mass distribution, originating from IP addresses or domains on security blacklists, or those failing to meet or exceeding the established security parameters of the domain, may be excluded from the registration process. The use of automated tools, bots, scripts, or any other software for mass distribution of registration emails will be classified as a cyber threat, and such emails will be excluded from registration.
