The request must be addressed directly to the specified appointment email address (i.e., the email address must not only be included in CC).

2. In the subject line of the email, state only: Passport number

3. In the body of the email, include the following information: full name (as it appears on your travel document), type of visa and purpose of stay.

4. Attach the following documents to the e-mail (in .pdf format): a scan of the passport data page, a scan of the proof of purpose of residence, and a scan of the valid residence permit (in the case of third-country nationals).

5. Applicants who are not citizens of the countries belonging to the territorial jurisdiction of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi must also attach proof that they have been permitted to reside in the country within the territorial jurisdiction of the Embassy for at least the two years preceding the application. If residence cannot be proven, the applicant must submit the application in their home country.

6. 1 applicant = 1 e-mail. Submit only one email per applicant. Due to the strong anti-spam protection used by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is recommended to send each applicant’s request from a different email address.

7. Your e-mail will be processed electronically by a system based on a randomized element.

8. The following emails will be disqualified from the registration process:

(i) emails that are not sent in the format specified in points 1-3,
(ii) emails that do not include the attachments referred to in point 4,

10. If you do not receive confirmation of an assigned appointment within 7 days, it implies that your registration for an appointment was either unsuccessful or was not sent in accordance with the terms and conditions of the registration process.

11. The assigned date cannot be changed. If you fail to show up for your appointment, the assigned date becomes invalid. If you arrive late without prior apology, your appointment will also be cancelled - in such a case, the Embassy will proceed with other applicants who arrived on time.

Most Common Mistakes / FAQ:

  2. Email registration will take place only during the above-mentioned period. Emails delivered to the mailbox newdelhi.seasonal@mzv.gov.cz before the start or after the end of registration will not be considered or will be excluded from registration. The decisive factor is the time the email is delivered to the mailbox.
  3. Due to the cybersecurity measures of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is recommended to send emails during the first hours of the registration period rather than at the end, and also not to send a large number of emails from the same email account.
  4. Each applicant may send only one email. If multiple emails are sent for one applicant during the registration period, the applicant will automatically be excluded from registration, even if the emails are sent from different email addresses.
  5. The email application must include ONLY copies of the following documents exclusively in PDF format:
  6. Citizens of countries other than Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka may participate in the registration only if they have been legally residing long-term in above mentioned countries for more than 2 years based on a long-term residence permit. A scanned copy of this residence permit in PDF format must be attached to the registration email together with the other attachments.
  7. Registration emails that are not sent directly to the specified email address, but only in CC, will be excluded from registration.
  8. Registration emails where the sender has disabled the possibility of receiving replies/copies to the registration email will be excluded from registration.
